Easy Peasy DIY Soaps

The below will make around 4 small to medium soaps.

You will need:

  1. 400g soap base

  2. Glass measuring jug

  3. Large spoon for mixing

  4. Silicone baking or soap moulds - any choice

  5. 10 - 15 drops of essential oils- any choice

  6. Food colouring - any choice

  7. 1 tbsp coconut oil

Method:

  1. Cut 400g of soap base and then cut into small square pieces and place into the glass measuring jug.

  2. Place the measuring jug into the microwave in 30 second intervals - checking and mixing between each interval to avoid overheating the soap base. Once all of the soap base has melted:-

  3. Add 1 tbsp of coconut oil, 10 - 15 drops of essential oils of choice (I made two batches of soap one scented with peppermint essential oil and the other scented with geranium and patcholi essential oils), add food colouring of choice until desired colour reached (again I made two batches and made both blue and pink soaps).

  4. Pour soup mix into moulds evenly and then place in the fridge until set - I checked mine after around an 1 hour.

  5. Once set tip out and voila your soaps are ready.
